Not across the board at $1.6T. Joe Biden's plan is more modest. I would love to see individuals and businesses get relief as needed. As an example, there are numerous people, dead and alive, who received $1200 stimulus checks and had no need for extra cash (employed and solvent). There has got to be a way to help the ones most in need and prevent our economy from throwing money out there.

Students willingly took out the loans knowing they’d have to pay it back. I went to a cheap school so I didn’t have debt. In what world when you take a loan from someone do you feel entitled to keep the money and never pay it back? Maybe the government should forgive my mortgage? Or my car loan? Or all my credit cards?

Although I get weary of people abusing this system, I believe young people should not be saddled with a mortgage of debt before having a chance at a mortgage.

If student loans get forgiven, nobody will ever loan money to students ever again. Then only rich kids would be able to go to college.  Is that what you really want?  I didn’t think so.

Not an easy decision to say No. However, student loans should be maxed out at 2% APR and the their monthly payments should be 4-5% of based on their annual salary.

I think the % of salary has merit. At 50k per year, 5% would be $2500 per year.

A better solution is to have their payments affordable, like 4-5% of their annual salary. This way it will take the stress off of these students trying to make their payments.

Understood, but if they signed up for it, they should pay nothing for their degree and you and I pay in the form of taxes? Somebody has to pay.
