Take a Side

I hate to do this to the person who posted the question.... but the Oxford dictionary defines a sport as "an activity involving physical exertion and skill in which an individual or team competes against another or others for entertainment." Working from this definition then here's a simplified translation... race car driving is an activity, race car driving involves physical exertion and skill, race car driving involves individual drivers and a team/crew, and race car driving is competitive and entertaining. You may not agree with the Oxford definition, its application to race car driving, or be a fan of the sport, but racing cars always has been and always will be considered a sport to those who experience and follow it.
