They’d be nuts not to for various reasons... I’d be surprised if they actually have the innovation to pull it off.  They’ve completely flopped so far, nothing to lose at this point.  Kaepernick deserves the shot whether with them or another NFL team.

I have been saying they should since they moved to L.A. Back then it was for publicity, now it's for that and what better way to show a rookie QB how to deal with the media than by bringing the most media possible to your locker room. One thing Kap has done that has always been amazing, is how he handles the media. Always well spoken and whether you agree with him or not, he always has thought out what he is going to say. Plus he might be better than Easton Stick!

I think from the win LA conversation it does make a lot of sense. From the distraction and more attention standpoint, theres no way that I see Dean putting that on himself.

Yes, you need butts in seats. You need to try and get some sort of relevance. As much as I would like to see them fall flat on their face in LA, business wise, you gotta do something to register on the meter. You can’t be an NFL team and be less popular than the Sparks. Nothing against the WNBA, but in a sport where dominating all other sports is the baseline, I can’t imagine that goes over well with that group of owners. Kaepernick won’t fix long term problems, but at least for a season he brings much needed attention your way. Up to them though to figure out how to keep it going once that novelty wears off.

Alex, I still am a staunch Easton Stick supporter who (despite Kap being in the mix) still deserves a shot at the starting job.  But with Herbert being drafted, that reality went down the drain.
