No- That is ridiculous. If shots ring out; security and police will protect me

I meant to write "you can not" rely on Government & Police. If the shooter knew the fans are armed. He or she would have to wear bullet proof vest; and tactical gear like the guys and gals that rushed the Capital. So in theory law enforcement and "rent a cops" can see the guy or girl coming...

Guns are to protect you in the home, not on the streets. J certainly hope that concealed carry permits have significant background checks and that events ban guns from non law enforcement

I think you are right in the suburbs. But when my parents kicked me out and I lived in the 'hood' you needed a gun; and  people needed to know you had a gun; especially if you were white. I often heard the comment when my white friends would visit. 'White person here means they are packing; do not mess with him or her.' But here where I live now so reason to take a gun to the grocery store. But I think we need to be active with law enforcement and make sure we know the plan for an 'active' shooter at games we attend....
