Rivers on the Patriots, because lets face it, the Chargers Ownership and curse will doom him. Additionally, I think Rivers has a bit more left in the tank then Brady.

This makes business sense more than anything else. Brady has shown in the past year that he can be more camera friendly and accessible. The Chargers are LA and LA means media and Hollywood. We have seen it with Lebron and the Lakers, that a sports move can be strongly dictated by the desire to be close to the production of film and TV. Brady to LA or NYC would be the two possible media based moves in the NFL markets.

Brady is from California so of any move in the NFL this would seem like it would be the one that a guy like this would make. It's convenient timing that Rivers is aging and declining so this is making it an easy fit, but I wouldn't have been surprised if Rivers was better there would still be Brady to LA talk but instead we would focus on Goff being replaced. Brady has that kind of clout and attraction

What a sad second act that would be. A season or two in LA would be an interesting test in just how much legacy and credibility Brady has accumulated. This could go comically bad from the very start so I'm all in on watching.

First off this is most likely is a not topic anymore, since Brady loss, you know he will want to avenge his loss in a pats uniform.But playing along if Brady did go to the chargers, you think the nfl and the refs would let him lose? they need fans and a winning season and a championship.. he would have everything handed to him!! so the nfl could save face on this disastrous move! I hoping Rivers goes somewhere where he dukes it out with Brady in the AFC title game and the Chargers draft a QB and have several years of retooling to the 50,000 opposing fans.

Brady would win that game no doubt about it. There is just some sort of curse hanging around Rivers that seems to prevent him from having it all lined up at the right time and that isn't going to change with what city he is in, team he plays for or decade it is.

Lets Watch Something

Tom and Giselle want to be in a major market (LA makes the most sense as NY teams have QBs), and the Patriots need to make a business decision.  Any deal the Pats would sign with Brady would just delay the opportunity to invest $$ in a new QB as well as wide receivers.  The Chargers need a QB with leadership, but even with Brady the rest of the team has holes and gaps.  In the end, this may be the dumbest decision however Dean Spanos is just the man for the job!

Rivers probably couldn't win with the Patriots given the other current AFC teams he'd have to compete against at some point, but Rivers in NE would definitely do better than Brady in, uh, Costa Mesa/Inglewood?

With the Spanos Curse being on the same shelf as the Madden Curse, it's a no-brainer. Chargers ain't ever winning a Super Bowl until the name of the owners doesn't start with the letter S as in Slimeball.Rivers still is efficient enough, given a solid supporting cast to take a team into the playoffs. But honestly the Patriots have to rebuild and Rivers has a few bullets left in his mini-van....so who knows.

Rivers would be much better on the Pats. They have an O-line that would keep him upright and have time to throw the ball. Brady isn’t a scrambler, but behind that O-line, he didn’t have to be. Rivers throws so many INT’s because he’s under pressure as soon as he gets the ball and has to throw early in the WR’s route. Besides, IF Brady were to sign with the Chargers....he’d be on the injury list before the ink even dries on a contract!!!

It's not that Rivers is necessarily better than Brady but I trust the Patriots to protect Rivers more than the Chargers to protect Brady.
