Are the Lakers once again NBA favorites?

I mean they are title favorites in the West again... But with the injuries, possible chemistry/rotation problems, and lack of consistent shooting scares me. Last year's team was better. AD was better. Lebron was better. They had better interior and perimeter defense. And that team went 6 games with the Miami Heat. Props to the Heat I had them picked to go 6 games against the Lakers from the start of the season! But the Nets are better than that. The 76ers too. So we might finally see an East Championship without Lebron, how long has that been? Lol. I also love the Nuggets additions so don't sleep on them, if Lakers face them first round and aren't in rhythm they're screwed. An all time embarrassing playoff loss for Lebron if that happens ruining his GOAT debate.

I think the remaining question now is which team will have their key players healthy for a long playoff run. Lakers have to contend with Clippers, Suns and possibly others down the stretch. If they win it, the Nets, if healthv will be there waiting

I’m fairly certain that Drummond is not even an upgrade from Dwight Howard. As a Sixers fan, I’ve seen a bunch of Dwight this year and I have been knocked over by how wrong I was when I thought the Sixers were acquiring a washed up bin in Howard. I was dead wrong. He is so active and tough and productive. Drummond is no better.

Drummond played 14 minutes, looked slow, got hurt, won’t play tonight, and should sit until AD and LeBron get back. He was free to the Lakers, and they won’t win with him, unless he is simply a contributor to AD and LBJ.

And Embiid EATS HIM UP! Drummond improves the Laker frontcourt but it is NOT the greatest frontcourt in history BECAUSE of Drummond. James and Davis are all-timers. Drummond, although very solid, is the weak link when it comes to “greatness.”

Drummond has put up close to dominating numbers while on very bad teams. The man can board and THAT can’t be argued. He also plays good D. But What can be argued is his “greatness,” as in he isn’t. Drafted in 2013, Drummond is only a 2x NBA ALL-Star

My on air colleague, LZ Granderson, has declared LeBron, AD and Drummond the greatest front court in NBA history. I argued they have not played one game together yet, and may not, depending on health. LZ then challenged me to debunk his theory.
