i mean i would say go the g-league route but he obviously chose college for a reason so transfering seems like the only logical route.  and i highly doubt he would have to sit out that year.

Stay with his team, would demonstrate good team character... if he does as well as expected the post season won’t make much of a difference. If he doesn’t stay with OSU for another year

Transfer for sure better to be playing then not and get as much attention as you can which you might not get elsewhere.

Valid transfer hardship waiver. That is what he should do--leaving postseason play off the table is a bad option. He will certainly be in the dance. All other decisions are less desirable--that is the best, if they do not accept is transfer hardship request, Plan B is still there!

if only planning on being there one year anyway, why not go make some money and use that as the training and learning how to be a professional.

Do your one year and bounce. Transfers and overseas ball could complicate things, just play it safe then jump to the league.

He chose that route originally based on a different set of circumstances.   I think if losing the opportunity to play in the NCAA tournament really changes things.
