Definitely not stop them, but definitely understand the frustration. Even in orange county there are some issues with it. Theres a small tint city close to my work (anaheim ish area) and we got broken into twice and the same with the adjacent tenants or at least attempts. We've heard similar from people living in the area and the problem is because of covid even if the police arrest or stop them there just releasing them later because DA won't press charges due to Covid. Hell they even caught him in our unit the 2nd time and he got bit and assaulted he police dog, and even then they still did nothing. So not shocked neighborhoods fighting back or trying to prevent something.
