I'd rather put the money in a savings account and use it when needed but costs are to expensive

To me the issue isn't completely Insurance companies, but the cost of medical care, to me thats what really allowed especially health insurance companies to flourish. I guess I haven't had a bad experience with my insurance, but I could see depending on the insurance you have that you'd feel like there extortionists. They play a risky game by funding everyone insurance by the with essentially using everyones money to pay people you don't knows treatments and then bank that plenty of people not using theirs (IE. why there hesitant to pay) because if too many people use theres they ultimately lose. I'd be curious to see their books and see how close they come to being upside down.

They take your payments every month and the minute you need to file a claim they take forever and want to give you the lowest possible amount
