I could argue that race relations are improving because many amongst white America have become woke to issues facing black America.

However, I think all races have grown angry, certainly angrier, and as a result, rather than improving race relations, in many ways I feel like we took a step back thus far in 2020, sadly! 

Events like George Floyd, Jacob Blake, and the ambush of LA cops, only makes people on both sides angry. Assuming they are paying attention.

It is definitely obvious that race relations have decreased in the recent months. This stems from several reasons. The main being the media. The media has portrayed law enforcement in a negative way to spark controversy. Data is manipulated to seem as though there are astronomical use of force incidents against black Americans. This is not factual information when you examine statistics of contacts to UOF. The incidents the media focuses on are all calls to service for active crimes. It is not as though officers are hunting down innocent black Americans. The first headline is always "white cop black suspect". You cannot call something racist  until you know its racist. Making such assumptions serves no benefit to anyone. Are these incidents tragic? Of course. But, they show no evidence the stops are based on race.
Using such incidents by the media has depicted a false narrative which has only divided our countrymen. A person should be judged by the content of their character and not their color. This applies to all
