We don't need police officers showing up for mental health issues. We also don't need bad apples spoiling the rest. We need change.

Stop letting unions protect bad officers and drain the money from things like Community Oriented policing. Additionally, get financially stable and stop giving people pensions that are 90-100% of what they were making and let them have a 401k or IRA like everyone else.

Unfortunately, mental health related calls to service can often end up being a hands on incident. Health workers often require a police presence when dealing with mental health related issues for safety.

Community policing is virtually impossible with the amount of calls to service. Officers are stuck going call to call and rarely have an opportunity to engage in cop. The only way to resolve this is hiring more officers which increases police presence.
