I dont think it's little brother syndrome.  I think its a personality thing.  LA is "hip, "Cool" and the place to be, at the same time, its overcrowded, phony, and just a different lifestyle then San Diego.  Sure there are similarities, but SD is a SD we have that kickback culture and "No worries" attitude.  I think LA has an image to uphold while SD we know who we are we are.

Like I mentioned, I lived in both for many years and I can see where the debate is, but I also know the true beauty of each. I enjoy everything about SD as much as I enjoy what LA has to offer. Now I’m loving Temecula LOL

From my perspective yes! In sports, LA has everything, including what was once SD’s and that’s the Chargers. Now, if you live in SD and want pro sports, you have to go to LA.It’s true, SD has less traffic, although plenty of our own, and the quality of life may be something be brag about in comparison to the hustle of LA, but in the end, LA has it all, and SD is a treasure to those if us that call it home!

Having gone to Cal Poly Pomona and living in Fullerton for 12 years now. I'd still say San Diego is way better. It's always funny seeing all the tourists going to Hollywood and LA and realizing how crappy it is.

True. my point is a little biased as I was doing the whole acting thing in college and would travel to LA frequently, but it was always the city and where all the studios were so it wasn't the best atmosphere of good personalities and genuine nice people HA

Well said. I can agree to a certain point. I think once you've been in LA long enough, you realize all the hype comes from the outside in and not the other way around. Like I said, I love both. Was in LA first and then SD and I learned to embrace both for different reasons. Thanks for chiming in.

All depends on what you're looking for. Definitely subjective opinion.

That's the deal, SoCal like the rest of the world is becoming smaller, and we now realize, more so than ever, if you want pro football as an example, driving to LA is not that bad. Personally I only go if I am working, but other examples of things LA has that SD doesn't, it's not that far away!

There's no doubt, LA squashes SD in sports (even before Spanos decided to run his chicken shit ass out), but I feel the edge goes to SD as far as the &ldquo;laid back&rdquo; lifestyle. Just depends what you're looking for and thankfully they're both close enough to each other to offer it.
