What would you do if you had a baseball card collection?

The first thing I did is set aside one complete set for each of my daughters. Then I tested the market and sold some cards to feel out the market. My siblings were surprised at the check. Then I started donating them to charity for use at silent auctions. They do well -- who has a 54 Mantle or Mays or Robinson?

It sounds like a nice collection Bob, I like what you are doing with them...I have a small collection of cards, mostly from the late 70s, 80s, and early 90s. I'll pass them on to my two young sons here in a couple of years and they can choose to do with them what they want - save a few special rookie cards that I'd like to keep in our family.

Ha, that's really cool, those are some golden years for baseball players and cards Bob that you have. I've enjoyed showing them to my boys and flipping through them and remembering some of the great players from my youth and where I was when I got them, like old friends!
