NY Knicks, Jets, Rangers, Mets in 1969 saw three championships, almost 4. Has there ever been a city with that much success in one year?

No. NY wins that one, what an incredible year.

Yes. And I will tell you about it right here.

VERIFIED

not to my knowledge. I haven't seen any city do that before.

Hate to say it but Boston has had some good years

Jason Finley

No but there was a lot more centralized talent and less teams back then. Still amazing. 2018 Boston Red Sox won world series, Patriots won Super Bowl (game actually played Feb 2019), Celtics and Bruins made runs in playoffs...only tning close I could find.

This was a year that I experienced myself so it was remarkable to watch Joe Namath guarantee a Super Bowl win, the Amazing Mets to pull off the underdog win and the gimpy Willis Reed to "almost" walk on to the court in the NBA finals. No close second to my knowledge!

Great question, Bob. I can't think of a comparable year for another City.
