Do you appreciate all of the attractions,  arts, sports, shopping, food, beverage and event venues here that typically target tourists?

Yes. It is a big plus for the economy, tax revenue and options for residents.

No. It creates more traffic and pollution and costs us more money than one would think.

The transient occupancy tax creates tens of hundreds of millions of dollars to support police, fire, roads and much more. The assets make San Diego arguably the best place in the world to live.

While these things can cause it to be a little more crowded and more people around it also provides jobs, tax revenue and provides more opportunity for people to come here and then leave and go back home.  We live where we do because it is nice - would you rather live in a place no one wants to go?

Yes, thats what allow San Diego continue to improve. Do I dislike some of the downsides, of course, who doesn't. However, I'm realistic to the fact that that tax money plays a big part of helping the town and that were better off with it then without.

My only gripe which is all of our is our fail to actually get bid projects done (Stadium, Convention Center, Airport, etc..)

Of course, San Diego should always be promoted, but we can't get to LA's level. Downtown, SD is the perfect balance. Do you think more and more people will leave California?
