Your question is totally full of errors.  The total number of people who die from the flu DOES NOT mean it is more dangerous than CoronaVirus. Based on your question, since more people survive the flu, Coronavirus is more deadly.

After reading and speaking with my doctor it seems the risk factors for people in my health condition are less severe with the coronavirus than the common flu. If I was obese, had diabetes, or had chronic breathing related issues Id be a lot more worried

Deadly to who? Where are you getting your facts. Trust me I am not at all playing doctor. I just googled stats and going by that. Seems the only people at risk realistically for CoronaVirus are those that have underlying medical issues such as diabetes and other cardiovascular diseases. Obviously the elderly and other factors. From what I ready kids are pretty much unaffected by it and anyone in decent health is going to feel like they have the flu but goes away after a week or so just like the flu.
