Whats with the trucks with a huge ass American Flag pole in the bed of the truck you see from time to time??

I always thought it was military. I live in Oceanside and see these trucks all the time. Never bothered me much.

I'm not really sure why one would feel the need to express their patriotism in this way. But as long as that flag is treated properly and doesn't block a line of vision necessary for safe driving, then I say to each his own.

There are quite a few not so proud Americans out there. This let's them know one who "is" proud. Just my opinion. I don't know if that is the reason.

To me they are right wingers trying to say America love it or leave it. Thats what I think of when I see those trucks. Always some redneck looking dude driving
