What did Obama in 8 in years do to help stop police brutality and remedy the black lives matter issues we see going on today?

Toby McDonald

I can’t really think of anything significant. But I’ll always remember him getting Bin Laden.

Anthony Avila

My answer is IDK. Obama was from Chicago, the most violent black on black city in America, can someone explain to me, have the number of black on black violent crimes been reduced in Chicago? We all talk about BLM, and many of us want to be helpful in making change, but beyond police brutality, I will always say to my African American brothers and sisters, let’s stop the violence in our communities as well!

Obama’s Top 50 Accomplishments, Revisited

I don’t remember anything specific around the two mentioned issues but I can’t remember things from yesterday!

I did a quick google search and found an article - attached citation... although he accomplished a lot and some, very significant, I didn’t see much mentioned of the two in this debate or at least didn’t make his top 50 accomplishments.

President Obama has to take care of the whole country, he didn’t just help the black community because he was black, he tried to help this country out. Although from the black community he did the affordable care act that helped many uninsured non-elderly , African American adults gain health care about 3 million. U.S dept. of education for HBCU students increased growing from $523 million to $824 million. Incarceration amount black went down. I could go on and on ..

Bernard Thompson

Would agree with Scott’s I don’t know. If he did anything it wasn’t news worthy apparently.

Derrick McQuinn

It's a shame but Obama tried health care like Clinton did and was very presidential but really did nothing substantial for anyone. I'd rather play basketball with him than see him lead our country into weakness. I challenged him to a bball game in 2011 but he turned me down. YouTube Rauch vs. Obama.

Bob Rauch

This is an interesting question. I can only recall the Travion Martin case where he said he could have been his son. I don't remember any significant legislation coming from that.

Michael Johnson

Voted for him twice. A gentleman, scholar, but probably too early for his type of leadership. I admire him greatly, though.

What the F does that have to do with where we are now. We, yes we, have a problem. Let’s, yes let’s, fix it. Move forward, not backward. Or is that too progressive for y’all.

Paco Rogo

Obama faced a divided Congress during the Black Lives Matter movement. Not much legislation happens then

Well that is a shame, black lives do matter, and they should matter first and foremost to other black people, killing one another makes all people think, that some lives don’t matter to those who have less appreciation for the value of life.

You aren't allowed to mention black on black crimes nobody wants to discuss that. If it's not about white people killing black people its considered avoiding the issue

I think I Obama helped to encourage police camera adoption

All great points, but your question is about police brutality.

Yup, that's a tough one for sure, usually attempted in horse and not often in a game unless your name was MJ or Kobe! Haha. But that was a cool video. It was nice to see that you play hoop. It's a great game.

Christopher Moreno

Yes, that's a tough shot. Gotta practice it in my driveway!

Dude, Bob, hilarious video, nice behind the back, under your leg, bank shot. I see you can use your left hand as well. But that behind the basket set shot still needs some work man.
