Scott Kaplan to permanently join AM 710 Los Angeles starting August 17!

I havent spoken to Scott but this is great for him. 710 actually pays him the podcast he only gets money from sponsors. Companies like mine who were sponsoring had to stop due to covid. So very limited amount of sponsorship $$ at this point in time

That being said I am sure he will still be doing his podcast format and working his ass off between the podcast. 710, and Sided

Sucks for 1090. Not going to listen to any of it because I teach night classes. I think I will just focus on podcasts.

Can’t wait to hear more details and how it effects the Scott&BR show and team locally (not jumping to any premature conclusions). Super stoked for Scott and wish him the very best no matter what. Selfishly speaking... if it means less of Scott locally, I’ll be super bummed. The Scott&BR mishpacha have been part of me and eventually my family’s lives for a loooooooong time, just hope they can for many more years to come!

Happy for him, his family, and for the next phase of his career. SD/socal sports landscape is evolving, 710 expands into SD with this move and 1090 already said they have plans to be more regional. I'm sure JB and AP are either part of the ride with Scott at 710 or will have their own show at 1090, or maybe there's a hybrid situation that is still yet to unfold. Either way, all is good!

Why would this such? For who? Great opportunity for Scott!

Scott has been a staple here in SD for almost two decades. You can’t blame any man for wanting to achieve professional growth even is it means working in a different market. He will always have soft spot for SD. He might be on the air in LA from 7-10 pm but he’ll continue to be one of us.

Congratulations to Scott. You can’t keep a good man down.

Great for him and the team, as much as we'd all love in San Diego, this is a great opportunity.
