There can’t be any kind of “history” with the person or any curiosity whatsoever. If it’s literally just a friend where nothing could potentially happen, then it’s cool.

If someone is worried about lunch, I think it signals bigger problems in the relationship, not the lunch.

Definitely depends who it is, I mean in general that probably means i wouldn't go out to lunch or hang out with the person anyways.

I am married. Fortunately, she works with mostly women. Plus, I trust my wife 100%. I think it's the other way around where issues may arise. I don't see her being too comfortable with me having a lunch date with someone I have previous history with.

That's a good point. But if your married, does your partner have a work husband or wife? My wife has a work husband. I don't care. But maybe I should...nah.
