shoot we work hard for the stuff we get them, they need to know where it comes from. When i met my wife she had a daughter and she believed in santa clause but after a year she told her the truth. It is just something we dont do in my family

I was brought up believing in Santa Claus even though we are jewish. When my best friend told me Santa Claus was not real at age 7, I was crushed. I'm ok now.

If I do have kids I will for sure, more Santa Clause and the Tooth Fairy then the Easter Bunny (I don't recall my parents really playing into this one much and I can get why). I would agree with Joe after a certain age I would be honest if they asked. Anyways I think it can teach some good life lessons.

as long as it's taught as though those things are a special treat and gifts are given within reason, along with other life lessons i think it's fun to experience as a kid and to watch as an adult

Realized it one Christmas at my aunts house when my Cousin was wrapping gifts for her kids (2nd cousins) and those were the same ones that they opened from Santa the next day. I guess at that point I had my suspicions though to.
