Best insurance policy. Truly the best backup QB in the NFL.

Albert Long

He is a starter in my eyes he doesn’t need to back anyone up.

Bernard Thompson

Even thought I think he is a started it is a good team for him to be on and have a super bowl run...

Good signing for Seattle, but it can't last for more that a season or two. Cam Newton is going to want to be a starter again soon.I doubt it would have happened if it wasn't for COVID. Cam just wanted to find a job for this season.

Paul Drivas

The only way a signing like this works, is if Wilson said it was OK and that he was thinking about retirement.

Shaun DuCross

I'm out. Did I do it right? That's what the leader does.

That would be a huge winnfor Seahawks. Dude has been banged up but is a bona fide started when healthy.

Frederick Remick

Newton will likely get a chance to play some. I would not be shocked to see him in very creative ways that could a dynamic wrinkle to the Seattle offense.

Dan McLellan

All in on this, would be a great win for the Seahawks to get such a highprofile backup, especially with how much Wilson has gotten hit the last couple of yearsAs far as Newton goes, yeah this would be a pretty big downgrade, the questions is what teams are left looking for a starter.

Derrick McQuinn

I don't know, Wilsons taking a lot of hits the last two years, so could see them having a backup plan.

Cam Newton backing up Russell Wilson!
