If President Trump can vote by mail, every American should be able to vote by mail as well.

PLEASE KNOW, President Trump voted ABSENTEE, by mail. That is WAY different than what the democrats are proposing as “mail-in-voting”.

Boss Jose

Only absentee voting should be allowed but if they are doing mail in, why can't he use it to his advantage?

Mail might be the only way to vote as we live right now

Bernard Thompson

Turning in your ballot voluntarily is not the same as ballot harvesting, come on guys. Not agreeing with Trump, just stating my opinion.

Bob Rauch

Absolutely. Why is he allowed but the GP can’t?

EyeHoleMan

I don’t think most are saying you shouldn’t be allowed to, it just shouldn’t be the mandatory or automatic option.

Voting for fools is liking mining for fools gold!

i have been voting my mail for almost 40 years. yes it was absentee, but the only difference i see is that i request a ballot. If the POTUS doesn't want this due to his belief that it will lead to dishonest voting, do something to make it safer. as for me, it will be voting as usual...by mail

Mike

I have always and only used a mail in ballot. Why would I do it any other way? Life's too short to stand in any line. Gotta have trust.

Ashley Gardner

So, technically, we wouldn’t have an election by mail, but if COVID is a valid excuse for an absentee ballot, then everyone is scared of going to the polls could just pull an absentee ballot, ceterus paribus

Austin schwerdt

vote by mail(what the democrats want) is when the county registrars office takes a list of voters and sends out ballots to EVERYONE. return postage paid. there is no method to making sure that the person they where intended for even received it or if they are in fact the person who cast it. and since the postage is pre-paid, there is no date stamp on it when it’s returned. that means there’s no way to say, this one got here on time or not. in order to be counted. it really opens up the way for FRAUD.

absentee ballot, is where a voter, specifically requests the registrar to send THEM a vote by mail ballot for a specific reason(like they’re out of the country, military service or in this case, choose to not participate in in person voting due to covid-19). they then fill out a form and their identity is confirmed, and they receive a ballot. they then return it at their leisure, but there is a SPECIFIED return deadline.

you request a ballot rather than just getting one.

it should not be an 'advantage' to anyone. both sides can use mail in ballots

Big difference, sorry if i misunderstood

Bob, the question is not about 'harvesting' it is simply should we be able to vote by mail?
