What has always sucked: All four of the Chargers’ losses last regular season came in Los Angeles. No one likes this team. No one cares about them, even when they’re good. They need Philadelphia Eagles fans to help them sell out a soccer stadium. They have to prep for opposing fan noise at their own home games. They always play their best football when no one is looking. At this point, they exist primarily to help drive up rent prices and infect others with a violent case of Buyer’s Remorse. Everyone still calls them the San Diego Chargers. Everyone knows they’ve been cursed by an angry lava god for like 50 years now. This is the least wanted team in football. San Diego didn’t want them. L.A. certainly doesn’t, and won’t for the next two decades. This team, and its microscopic fanbase, are all sorry rejects.

What will it take for the Chargers to ever become relevant?

Win a Super Bowl. That’s all it will take.

Move out of Southern California and try to attract completely new fan base.

I was a Charger fan for 30+ years...I won't watch them now. Got rid of all my Charger gear...Has nothing to do with the players. The owners of the team stabbed the people of San Diego in the back. They did not want to build a new stadium in SD. Go back and look at the effort by the SD Padres to get their new ballpark...To say the SD Fans didn't want the Chargers is a lie...We were not convinced that giving billions of tax dollars to a billionaire was a good idea...They sell the team and move back to SD and commit to build a new stadium, I'll support them...but only then.

If they move back to SD, they’ll get most (if not all) of their fan base back. But in order to be “relevant” and actually have people talking about them, they need something big like winning a Super Bowl. Or at the very least getting there.

As long as I’m around the “C”’words are dead to me. They will never win and unless ownership changes. They will always be the same old team...Rivers is about to call it a career... then what? Melvin Gordon wants out of his contract...Dysfunctional teams DO NOT WIN. Irrelevant Team to me.

San Diego is their identity and you can’t deny where you came from and who brought you up and is your family. You can’t move to another town and say you weren’t born in San Diego.

Ol Surfer

It's clear at this point. Move back home where your fans are or rebrand to the LA market cause the Lambs are still trying to get out of the Raiders shadow

I would love to see the Chargers excel highly in their first year of the Hollywood Park stadium. What would be sweeter is to see them have an undefeated home record and decent road record and continue their $1 “rent” payments while seeing the Rams have the worst record in team history along with figuring out how to refund all of their fans tickets.
