A lot can go wrong for a team in five weeks. History says you can kiss your playoff chances goodbye if you start 0-5; since the NFL went to its current postseason structure in 2002, no team that started the year without a win through five games has made it to the postseason. That's bad news for Cincinnati and Washington. Even teams that win one game out of their first five have only converted their slow starts into postseason trips 8.5% of the time.

#3 rule in NFL betting is that every year is different. You do not bet last years teams... none of these teams were contenders to begin with.

Sided Rams Talk

LeVeon Bell sat out all year to play for the worse team in the NFL.

Of these teams its deffinatley the Rams. Not saying that they still won't cottend but out of these teams they appear to have on of the toughest shots to get to the Playoffs. However, overall to this point with the players and talent they have, being in the super bowl last year, and really I'd say they were the mot likely to contend. Here's why I don't see the other teamsChicago bears - I think like every year their offense has proven to what it always does which is struggle because they just don't get a real QB.LA Chargers - This ones tough for me because of being a life long San Diego fan and the struggle like everyone else with the move. As well as Just San Diego teams in general just finding ways to disappoint us. That being said did any of us real expect them to have another 13-3 or close year or for them to actaully stay health enough to compete. I feel like they've been so called pontential superbowl contenders for like 10 years or more, with the exception of a couple yers. Jets - Its the Jets, who are in the most incompetent division for like 20 years plus.Atlanta Falcons - I don't think they were an expected contender to begin with, they really just haven't been the same since blowing the Super Bowl.Steelers - While I think most including myself believe the Pittsburgh would be contender. After losing both AB and Bell and with Roethlisberger age. I just don't know that they were ever a true contender.

It's only disappointing because I am still pulling for them.
