Should the NFL season be extended to 18 games?

I think they should expand the schedule to 18 games, however there should be a rule that a player can only play 16 of the games. This allows for the owners to earn more revenue without overworking the players and also allows for larger rosters or practice squads, allowing for more opportunities for more players. It also forces the coaches to strategically rest players and space out off days to still put the best team on the field.

No! What we should do SHORTEN the regular season and expand the playoffs:Playoff format would be like NBA's..8 game first week, 4 games second, Division finals 3rd,forth is the bye, SB following week. The regular season would be 14 games with two bye weeks for each team. Plus a week separating the pre-season final and the season opener. That extra week could be used for, say, the London game for two teams. You can use it as a season opener with those two teams getting a bye for week one.Major benefits: Teams could get more rest...and a month focused solely on the 16 best teams instead of being stuck with, say, Bengals-Jets or Cardinals-Giants. No one loves football THAT much!

Stop charging regular season rates for preseason, paper the crowd with active and retired military, bring kids out to meet players, that's how you build lifelong relationships and fans.
