The owners have no intention of taking any sort of action that would see baseball played in 2020.

Do you believe MLB owners actually want to play this season?

The differences between owners and players may be large but I don't see an incentive for owners to not play.

Bob Rauch

Owners are only concerned about their bottom line. Their safety protocols are not adequate too.

They are trying to make as much possible and get out from under horrible contracts without paying people

Neil Umscheid Jr.

Yes! They just want to pay players as little as possible. Their profit margins need to be super high.

Only if they can have people in the stadium or in a way that least financially burdens them. Also, isn't the Collective Bargaining Agreement coming up next year too. Guessing they may be playing games ahead of time to try and take an edge.

Derrick McQuinn

At this point NO and they are making a very bad mistake and deciding on greed today and not the future of MLB... so bummed.

Joe Rigby

The owners do not want to play...they know what Vegas knew in March...it is too expensive to be open and empty...that is MLB's issue...they will be empty and won't make money...just better to wait until next season...if you can afford to!

What the players are asking for isn't high of a reach yet the owners are saying that they are "nowhere" in negotiations. Can't let a few dollars slip away for the sake of the game or fans. Smh

With the Collective Bargaining Agreement coming up next year I think they might have something to gain from it.
