SDSU offense sputters, defense and kicking game shine in lowest-scoring Division I game in school history

After San Diego State squeaks by Weber State 6-0, is this team in trouble?

Yes, other MWC teams also won this weekend, while putting up big points against much more powerful opponents.

Nah, Rocky will get the team on track. This game doesn’t matter. Relax.

With Boise beating Florida State and Fresno playing a respectable game against USC, this was a very underwhelming win, and after 1 week, SDSU has a long season to prove they belong.

I wonder if there's a point in the future that SDSU will just say that the football program is just not worth it anymore, bleeding money, no attendance, etc... and decide to just fold it. That would be terrible but it's trending thay way in my opinion. :(

Aggie

The Aztecs offensive is horrible. Rocky likes to pound the rock and it lacks a dynamic deep threat. Rocky needs to let Agnew throw - maybe go to the spread offense. They barely beat Weber State.

Week 1 is behind them, but football season moves quickly. This offense had all summer to get ready. Better fix it NOW if they want to compete in what appears to be a high scoring MWC.

Look how Boise beat Florida State, Wyoming beat Mizzou, a team from a Power 5 conference, and Fresno hung with USC, granted the SC qb blew out his knee, point is, SDSU's 6-0 win over an inferior opponent, is the least impressive week 1 performance! Am I wrong?

Mike you are the number one caller for exactly this reason, strong opinions!

I would agree. If their offense doesn't put it together, it's going to be a very long season for the Aztecs

The Red Pimp

They're in major trouble. It's gonna be a long season. They can't put up more than 6 against Weber State??? They're gonna be embarrassed over and over again this season.

Mike Hernandez

Except the season isn't that long. They better get their offense fixed in a hurry if they want to be a top dog in MWC.

We'll see Scott... I'm rooting for them but this is San Diego where great plans go to die! I'll buy you 12-pack if it works out :)

They were planning to be a spread offense by now, but you can't teach old dogs new tricks!
