Like anything in Business and Economic the answer is "yes" and "no". The problems that was going to cause the next recession is in place. But now we have a "heighten awareness"

We are going into a recession a year prior to when we likely would have had one. This recession will be the deepest in history but also the shortest. It will likely allow Trump to win again and everyone to survive financially. COVID19 will kill tens of thousands so that is the real negative.

Either way we were on the tipping point of another recession before any of this even happened, and no matter what happens I am pretty sure another recession like that of 08 will happen!

A better stimulus package is if the banks and mortgage companies pause collecting on mortgages and rents for the next 90 days without penalty.The package will help some, but not on the level the gov't officials would claim to be.
