The 49ers defense looked impressive in their week 1 win, but is Solomon Thomas still needed on this team?

No. He’s barely getting playtime and can be traded for a RB or an interior O-lineman which we desperately need.

Yes. He adds great depth to this already stacked D-Line, and still has upside.

I love having Solomon Thomas on the team, but he is becoming a luxury item with this D-Line being extremely stacked. Trading him for a quality O-lineman would be an ideal move.

Your watching the 49ers with delusional lens. Their defense showed a lack of mental toughness allowing the Bucs to run all over them especially in 2nd half. They bailed out by Winston handing them the all 3 times. And those were the only way the sorry 49ers could score; because your quarterback is always thinking with the wrong head.

Your 49ers takes are very bad Josh. Your view on Garoppolo has nothing to do with how he plays football, but the fact he took a pornstar on a date back in July of 2018. You also think that giving up 295 yards of total offense and 125 yards of rushing means this defense didn't show mental toughness. Explain the fumble in the red zone. That wasn't on Jameis. And my question was about Solomon Thomas, who is not needed on a DLine that has 4 high 1st rd picks in Bosa, Ford, Buckner, and Armstead who are playing on a higher level than him and are being utilized in a better role than how the 49ers are using Thomas. How am I delusional?
