Wildfires, record high temps, earthquakes...have you considered moving out of CA?

We are hunkered down for the long haul. We have plenty of friends who left the state. None of them are happier where they are. More house? Yes. More savings? Yes. More happiness? No.

Convinces me more to stay because other people are leaving and thing will get better for us. Plus i love my job, but if for someone reason something happened then I might think about it

Derrick McQuinn

Only conservatives leave California. The strong make it work.

But I'm only here temporary anyways, when my son in law gets stationed to another state we will go with them to be near the grandkids

Pawpaw

Liberals, taxes, pedofiles, homelessness, illegal aliens...fires would be the least of the valid reasons to leave CA.

Michael Dunbar

San Diego native all my family is here. San Diego is America’s finest City there is none like it. Not an option.

Despite its many faults, I fell in love with Southern California 50+ years ago and can't imagine living in another climate with the fabulous ocean so close....unless it was Hawaii. I personally have it pretty good having arrived in time to afford a home and secure a great career. Such a healthy environment unless we have fires. I don't like them but it's part of life here and should discourage building right inside the forests. Mother Nature doesn't like that.

Ashley Gardner

Definitely thinking about leaving CA, but not for any of the reasons you listed. High taxes and crazy politics are the primary reason, combined with the lower cost of living elsewhere.

Jeff Williams

Been looking to move to Canada, the U.S is to corrupt

Bernard Thompson

It would be the higher taxes, higher cost of living and Liberal politics that would force me to move out, not any of the above choices.

Keith Klipfel

Yes, but not because of the wildfires. More to do with the cost to live here. Most people's goals are to live long enough to pay off their house. I've done the math. Even when our house is paid off the monthly property tax bill will be $1500 or more. Like to retire in SoCal but not sure that is possible if we are to maintain the same quality of life or something close.

It is for this reason why we need more Conservatives in this state, to tip the balance closer to the Moderate, not to the far left majority as the state's gov't is in now.
