Local Police Departments Won't Shed Much Light on How They're Using Drones

Should local police departments be required to tell the public how they're using drones for our safety?

Yes, of course they should! It's taxpayer money at use!

NO! If we know everything then the people they're trying to catch will know too.

Where in the constitution does it say for Govt to provide a police force?.. Cops are 100% scum.

I'm not for 100% no oversight on what there doing with it, however I also do understand at times where it can be important for them to have some sort of tool to use. To me this is like the news spouting off all the flaws in security at airport or other places, while I think its important that stuff gets fixed, that at the same time is telling enemies what to do. However, I would agree not wanting to share a general log of what it was doing does bring question up. I'd expect theres at least some outside public oversight board that should be reviewing.

Wasn’t so sure on this one, here is what former SD Police a Chief Shelly Zimmerman had to say:https://www.sandiegouniontribune.com/opinion/commentary/sd-oe-police-surveillance-technology-20180802-story.html

Isn't this kind of freedom of information a fundamentally American institution, especially so if it is our government who we need the information about

I might be an idiot for saying this but im fine with the government keeping things from me if it helps in combating crime and keeping me safe. I guess ignorance is bliss but im down to keep it like that when it comes to police drones
