I'm posting this so that he'll have a vote. The REAL question should be, what manager can you get who can WIN. That'sthe problem the Lakers have. We're always looking for LAKERS and stop looking for WINNERS.

I like Phil Nevin cause of his temperament; he will bring a attitude that the padres haven’t had.

Nathaniel Allison

Phil cheats in all aspects of life. HIs family's arrogance of living through their son is a bad joke.

Lou Swimmin

Phil is way too hot headed. Mark is the hometown guy!!! Love him!

Nevin would be like watching a train wreck that you know is going to happen, 162 days before it does. Given the team has sucked forever, Nevin would be much more of an interesting hire for the fans than Lorretta. Having said that, the farm system is stacked with players from Latin America, so someone who can speaky the language and connect with those players is a must.

Christopher Moreno

This is a no brainer. Mark Sweeney is the perfect choice. The man knows baseball and certainly will be a great spokesperson.

Stu Schreiber

Also, I wouldn't choose either, they need a manager with WS experience, someone who doesn't just make decisions based on analytics.
