Would you take care of a loved one that has Dementia or Alzheimers or would you put them in a home?

A lot of people don’t understand how hard it is to take care of someone but at the same time I don’t trust putting them in homes. Especially with Covid!

We've tried, it's too difficult and sometimes unsafe to take care of loved ones at home with Dimensia. They don't even know who we are sometimes and we aren't equipped to deal with watching them 7x24. I found my grandmother crying in a closet, she set off alarms designed to protect her and they scared her even worse. When we would go shopping (before we knew) she would get in the wrong car. It was very sad!

Both, lost my mom 4 yrs ago to this horrendous disease. We were committed to not put her in a home but the last 2 years of her life were too tough. There’s no certain answer, too many various factors go into this subject...

It's for me to trust a home, but I also don't know how hard It Is to take care of an elderly person with dementia. This Is a tough one...

If I could and had the capability absolutely, I have witnessed with one of my grandparents and it was not easy. Thankful my Grandfather had thought ahead and had purchased some insurance that covered inhome help which really helped. All I can say is take care of your Chickens and your mentalz
