I really think the amount of restrictions doesn't make a place safer or more dangerous. Frankly I think if you go to far either way it decreases safety.

Depends in what context. School shootings probably. Gangs and such not really. Here is the problem. Mexico has tough gun laws but the cartels buy their guns here and ship them down to mexico. If a state has strict gun laws and their neighbor states don't kind of defeates the purpose.

I feel like the tight gun restrictions that some states have only effect the law abiding gun owners but don't stop criminals who want a specific weapon from obtaining it

It's proven by statistics. More gun controls, less good guys have guns, most guns are sold via black market to bad apples.

People that want a gun usually end up with a gun

Great question. Generally the higher amount of gun restrictions affects the law abiding citizens not the hooligans. I believe if more law abiding citizens owned guns it would make a place safer.

That is the point. All that stuff is illegal so they buy it here and smuggle down there. Same as buy one in another state where those are legal and bring to one where they are not. Its pointless.

What about felons that can buy ghost gun kits in most states on the internet without a background check and just put the gun together themselves? I hear what you're saying but I feel like if a person wants to obtain a firearm illegally they will find a way
