Love tri tip! Very versatile or just by itself. I like the steak texture and flavor more than brisket, although brisket done right is delish too!

Tri tip done right is good but for me the payoff isn’t there. Even a good tri tip cut wrong ruins it. Brisket seems more forgiving so even just ok brisket can still be really good to me. Even at Cali Comfort I prefer the brisket!  Corbins Santa Maria tri tip is really good though.

Absolutely. More so if that smoked tri tip is reverse seared. Only problem is finding medium rare tri tip at a restaurant.
