Would you watch a Mashup event that featured Boxing & UFC?

Shaun DuCross

If it goes boxer vs fighter in a ring, then boxer vs fighter in an octagon, I am all in!

i mean seeing a boxer in an mma ring could be horrifying if he's not trained correctly. and will an mma fighter know how to rein himself in??

MaryBeth Zmuda

Yes but I don’t know how they would do it because they use 2 different type rings. Unless they would have them next to each other. But most ufc fans don’t like boxing because they don’t think it’s allot of action.. but they are wrong boxing is the best when it comes to watching fighting in tv..

Bernard Thompson

McGregor and Mayweather provided a glimpse into possible futures. It doesn't always have to be in the boxing ring as well. I think we'll see more of these types of matches in the future if the money is right as UFC's brand continues to grow and boxing tries to stay relevant.

I love boxing....but hate MMA....so no thank you!

Would be interesting, would definitely watching the boxing part.

Derrick McQuinn

Enjoy watching both and would be totally down for a mash up!! I think the diversity would create even more buzz and bigger event feel.

Joe Rigby

I would totally love to see another boxer vs MMA fighter. It's great to have variety

Also, Dana has been looking for a way into the boxing world - Zuffa. He has never released any plans publicly, but you have to believe that this is going to be part of it.

Yeah man, I remember that. The UFC used to also be tournament style back in the day.

yes very true. remember when shotime I think did that tournament where it was around 10 fighters and you had to move up to win the whole thing. I believe Andre Ward won it all. it was a few years ago.

There is nothing like a good boxing match. For sure. But the problem with boxing is they've moved away from the best fighters fighting one another. Promotors and TV/DAZN alliances have not helped at all.

Scott, that's exactly what is being discussed is that they would rotate as a Boxer would fight an MMA fighter in a ring and then flip it.

and Christopher, Eddie Hearn already has 2 boxers that want to compete. 1 in boxing and 1 in MMA. Both of his guys are BIG names.

Yeah, they might be able to find some sucker on the boxing side that thinks they can hang in the Octagon with their boxing skills. Just go and look at UFC 1, the boxer came in with one glove, didn't work out to well for them. I know things have changed, but unless the boxers are going to have years to train MMA, I don't see it as fair man. But, it would be awesome! I'm sure some sucker will sign the dotted line.
