Scott Kaplan

I don't think Kap has it anymore. Cousins and Mannion are not bad in the first place as far as the Vikings depth chart. And that display last year did not show me that Kap is what he was anymore. I say no, not likely he will return but yes, somebody will at least seriously consider him now if an injury occurs to a backup QB.

i mean i would love it if he was able to sign with any team. He deserves to be in the league.

If no one is signing Cam Newton, I don't see it likely there signing Kapernick except as a publicity stunt. Plus if anything your signing him as backup, curious how much a team would be willing to pay for him,

Derrick McQuinn

There's a strong argument to be made that Kaepernick is the face of the NFL without playing a single game this year.

There's only downside to him playing.

Drew Brees and Aaron Rodgers were the only QBs with 4 interceptions and over 200 attempts. The average is probably closer to 10. That's 10 chances for all of the Kaepernick haters to pounce about him not being a good QB. Even Tom Brady lost 4 games last year.

As a Packers fan, I saw Kaepernick tear us up in his prime. He's a good player, but no one is perfect. The negative press for those bad games that happen to everyone probably aren't worth a backup QB's salary.

He's done as a player in the NFL, but it might be partially his decision now because of the impact he's able to have off the field.

I am calling my shot!!!

If the NFL is truly apologetic to Kap, and the NFL is now supportive of his peaceful protest, the man deserves a chance at a job...Not a league wide workout...a contract, on a team who could use a good back up qb...in a city where his presence will be welcome, perhaps needed!

Can Kap still play, I don't know, although I am guessing he could be better than what is currently on their roster...in a role.

If the NFL is truly apologetic, and compassionate to the cause that cost Kap his playing career, let's see the League put its money where its mouth is.

What better way for the NFL to back up their apology than making concessions with the Minnesota Vikings to sign Kapernick

Albert Long

i think he'll be done of his own accord not because a team won't take him imo

MaryBeth Zmuda

No way. If your Kap at this point why would you even think about resuming your NFL career?

He was blackballed by the NFL for his protest that was taken way out of context to begin with.

Then they messed with his practice that he had scheduled, that he still ended up doing.

So if he comes back it's just pitty.

Shaun DuCross

I hope he gets another shot. A lot of trash qbs are on nfl rosters
