There's been a lot of tension in this Country since Hillary Clinton lost to Donald Trump..that completely divided the Country big time down party lines. 

Then Covid  happened and people are agitated and angry/scared etc

Then the murder of that man in Minneapolis was the ultimate breaking point.

Now we have legetimate protests going on rightfully so which then spawned a bunch of punk asses both white and black who are burning down houses, robbing stores, lighting shit on fire in their own cities. That's where we stand today.

For the most part it’s trying to be a peaceful protest but then you have some people who are doing wrong with all this looting and destruction crap. That’s not what the right people are trying to do. But the media wants to only show the bad people doing all the wrong .

I think everybody is pistoff for all the reasons you listed.  To start the Covid Quarantine for half of America was an overreaction.  Businesses went out of business, people lost their jobs and unemployment has gone through the roof.  Then add in the George Floyd murder and Ahmaud Arbery murder and you have Anger in America.  Need prayer for the Country.

Too many selfish people with personal agendas and lack of respect for their fellow man.  It’s become a world of what can the world do for me, what can you do for me and when people don’t get the answers they want they throw tantrums.  All of the things listed above certainly are weighing on people’s minds but if we look at these things like civil adults and work together to accomplish a solution it would be so much better.  Looting & rioting solve absolutely nothing except put stolen goods in criminals hands and burnt down buildings crushing hard working Americans dreams.

It is the social-economics, the widening of the economic gap between the rich and poor, the polarization of social media, the breakdown of the family structures, the proliferation of drug abuse, the entitlements some people really believe that they think they deserve without having to earn it, etc, etc, etc....

I feel like its all of the above, I feel like there are some protests about George Floyd, but I'd say there a lot of people not focused on this and our protesting for whatever reason.

All of the above?   I thi no there is a lot of pent of frustration on many topics and people are now acting out because of all of it.   But, the Floyd incident was the catalyst.

I've see some of the media do a good job of showing both.

I think most media outlets have done a good job showing the good and the bad in the last few days. The snapshot of the bad gets remembered more because of the devastation and destruction. All of these protest have started out good and as the day goes on and the frustration builds, the crowds get larger and  it gets out of hand. It's a sad sight to see.

Now news media...I'm going to say again NOT ALL (I never like lumping everyone belonging to a &ldquo;group&rdquo; as one classification if that makes sense). The news media has personal agenda with their reporting. They try to manipulate their viewers with what they report and how they report. I think we can agree some news networks are famous for pushing their candidate, belief, organization, etc...for their own selfish agendas. So people become more divided based on what they choose to watch, listen to and believe. Division is running rampant, it shouldn't be.🇺🇸

Let's start with politicians from the local level and go up from there. A good majority (not all) have agendas. The people they support, the legislation they support, etc.... it's about personal gain.  What can this person I support do for ME, if I help promote this legislation what will it do for ME. If politicians (again, not all) truly did what they were elected to do we may (possibly) have less issues, if they were for the people. Not everyone will agree on all social, political, economic, etc... issues and that's ok. That's America.

@dsykes I don't disagree.  I also don't think the local protestors are the primary instigators for the looting and rioting we have seen here and around the country.

@dsykes I am so down on this looting, people lost months of business, as we re open they get destroyed. How are you in La Mesa?

People are driven by the anger that exist in this country right now. This isn't something that just started with George Floyd.  This is a boiling point for people of color. Although I disagree with the looting and the riots that are going on right now, you have to realize that peaceful protest have been tried time and time again. They have fallen on deaf ears and the problems in this country have continued.

I am so glad I stopped watching the news!
