They have the best and funniest podcast out there right now. I know they would have to tone it down a bit to get back on mainstream radio. Dave and Jeff, Darren, and Scott and BR would be the ultimate line-up.

Something about Burt Grossman and John Browner having a conversation sounds right. I think they would be a great pair for the morning, plus they are already regulars at the station, most 1090 fans know them well so no need to really introduce them as new talent. IF the majority of fans want it though. As far as Scott and BR / Darren Smith; I would prefer they return to their originally scheduled time, but that's just me. As Alex Padilla predicted in a previous show at Callaway, there are the 1090 fans who want normalcy and the original times worked great with Darren Smith/Marty at 12-2 then crossover into Scott and BR at 3pm. Like I said, its what the majority of 1090 fans want. I'd be fine with whatever happens.

The clear answer is Anthony Idol ? with JB

Anthony Idol

Coach Kentera! So knowledgeable about all San Diego sports and has a great following of solid callers.

Rob Richards

Jason Finley

Dave and Jeff absolutely need to be made an offer that they can't refuse in the new am/digital platform and lineup up that you are looking to develop. If she's into it, Lipkin would be cool to combo them with in the morning!

Christopher Moreno

They'd make the perfect addition to the lineup if 1090 comes back! D&J, Darren & Scoot & BR!!!! ya'll be killing it again!!

David Taylor

George Kalamaras

This would be an awesome car crash! Let's give it a chance...

Edward Miller

Give Christian Pedersen, Tommy Morris and the sdpi crew a chance to do mornings. They are the jolt of young energy AM radio needs. Not as a high school sports show but covering all things sports culture.

So we can all hear Martha being on coffee “Mr Coffee”

mike

you guys killed it last time you were on in the mornings.

hugo wende

They have great chemistry, although its going to cost you to drag them back to the airwaves. Oddly, I never listened to them on 1090, go into their podcast though and generally enjoy them. Except when Dave says things like "the voters chose not to keep the Chargers"...

Bobby

Perhaps I’m just used to Darren in the afternoon and Scott & BR in the late afternoon/evening. Also, it would hilarious to hear D&J go back to FCC governed airwaves.

Mark

Joe Rigby

Mornings need to bring a jolt of energy, and these dudes can provide it.

Luis Hernandez

Anthony Idol is pure untapped audio excellence.

Nick Beasley

Steve Boone

I love Scott and BR in the AM but much more on my way home- DSmith and Marty would be great but they are the noon staple.... rough one worse comes to worse Scott and BR.

Alan Marland

Because it would be awesome I mentioned to Scott on Twitter

Elliott Dziuban

Love those guys. Was bummed when they left a few years back.

Micah Rutkoff

Dude the same was said of Keyshawn Johnson at 710 ESPN a year later Keyshawn is killing it I think Bert and Browner could do the same thing head-to-head against Keyshawn the killer bees in the morning I will dominate

Robert lucero

new and fresh beats old and stale everytime.

TuRockShow

Hacksaw!!!!!!! Mornings..!!!!!!!!!!
Darren and Marty noon to 3
Scott and BR 3-6
Do the new combos on the weekends or after 6? Burt, browner etc... to see how it flows
Coach is available too? Weekends, special assignments?

Wes Napier

Loved Browner's take on "it's just business" to crush Ben and Woods. But if you want to own mornings and start people off on your station all day it starts with a show already killing the ratings. Book end the day with your two best shows DSmith in the mornings and Scott/BR afternoons.

madelman

Johnny Adair

We would get the Dave and Jeff podcast radio version with Kap in charge!!! #StickinItToTheMan

Eric

Morning or any other time slot. Burt has to be there somewhere
Obviously the brown man too

Pablo Cordon

If they suck, I can switch to the Fan and keep the same lineup!

Cervizzi Painting

Scott BR AMs, Dave Jeff noon, DSmithshow Afternoons and bring back the BP Show on days where the games tie in with DSmiths time slot. “Corkys BP Show”? The BP show was one of the best shows 1090(XX) ever had.

GeoAztec04

Who doesn't want to start the day off with a little "Martha, what's going on"?

Andy Birkel

I would like Scott and Br back at mornings again

Dave and Jeff bring the local flavor, comedy and true love for the Padres.

Brock On

Dave and Jeff would make a great morning show again. But I love Ben and Woods.

Bob Marks

Clinton St Clair

Im really enjoying Browner. Lots of energy needed in the morning.

Michael Johnson

They are a great mix of sports and comedy. I’ll miss all the F-words though. Lol

Jim Bettencourt

they’ve been together a long time. The flow is there. They know San Diego, sports, politics, etc... it’s a good fit.

Zach McCaleb

Keep it in the Fam! Blue Chew and the Brown Man!

Jef Canter

Bring in a host with a weak sports background but solid entertainment like a former FM morning host, but then have browner, Bauer, Burt, and other strong sports people take a day of the week. Have a woman from the sporting world take the Linda spot.

Ken Muraoka

They may be handcuffed by fcc rules but even so, I would set my radio to 1090 and keep it there for Dave and Jeff

Antonio Acuna

Kurt Kretzschmar

Timothy Phifer

I don't know who else could fit in the morning. But I guess Dave and Jeff by default. I'd keep Darren at noon and Scott & BR in their normal slot

Armando.

They would be a good addition to the 1090 team now that Ben & Woods are gone

Brian Marshall

I like the hangover show guys. They would make a good morning team and kill Traders Ben & Woods

Ron Croft

Bubba

Joseph Crudo

Craig Elsten would be must hear radio in the morning. I've always loved listening to him when he fills in and on his podcasts. A wealth of knowledge on the Padres and of course the soccers.

I also wouldn't mind hearing hacksaw back on the air in the mornings. I miss the best 15 mins in sports in the morning to wake up to. He's an SD legend and it's a shame that he's not on the air somewhere.

Robert Stone

Cause Idol has more lines than Knott’s!!

Calder McColl

Who can go wrong with the neon phenomenon

Stephan Straw

Rene Carbajal

How about Dennis Gulyas and Burt Grossman? Just don't think Browner has the right feel to carry a show.

Roger Langdon

Parks LaMarche

Boomer! David Wells and someone of his choice.

Jeff Smith

Browner and Easton.... good guy bad guy contrasting opinions.

Brad Sparks

Ted Leitner.
The best and he needs the money

RustyBones

Can they have a producers show withAlex, Jordan, and someone else?

Kelli Calimlin

Because, it's the right side! Time for some new blood with the new revamp of 1090!

Manny Aguilar

Aggie

No! Need someone articulate in the morning. Both are not!

Mark Perkins

Actually Roger, I'm not sure what point you are making, can you elaborate please?

And you think Dennis does! Fuck outtta here hahahahahahah

Dunk On Any Fool

Planning to do the producers on mid days!
