The NFL has no choice but to suspend Raiders LB Vontaze Burfict!

Yes, he is the dirtiest player and should be out for the year!

No, he should not be suspended for the remainder of the year.

I had been hoping Burfict turned a new page. I guess not. Thankfully tight end Jack Doyle is a mountain of man who could withstand the hit; if it was a WR or RB they likely would have been out for the game if not longer. The simple fact is Burfict is a repeat offender who should be kicked out of the league. Permanently.

Go watch film on Dick Butkis, Mean Joe Green, Jack Lambert, LT, Ronnie Lott, Rodney Harrison, etc... The problem remains, players today tackle with their helmets, take away the helmets, and they will stop. Burfict is lame, but so is all this equipment.

Christopher Moreno

He has been a dirty player his entire career and nothing he does is an accident. He should be banned from the league before he permanently injures or kills someone.

Yes repeat offender but honestly this could be a lot of instinct on this hit. I see them reducing this down from rest of season to 8 games. I believe his last two suspensions were also reduced.

“When someone shows you who they are, believe them the first time.” This is a quote by Maya Angelou. Now that I am 50 years old I have come to the realization that this can’t be more true. Vontaze has been this kind of player since the days he was a Sun Devil. He himself has had so many concussions I can’t even count them in the last decade. As a former Bengal and his short stint as a Raider this year, the NFL made the right decision to toss him for the year. For all the football fans out there who love the sport, a character like Vontaze is what jeopardizes players and the sport in general.

Andy, if you win this debate, be sure to look at your profile, and see how you banked points!

That is exactly right, he has done serious damage already, maybe his helmet to helmet knockout shots on AB are why 84 is so screwed up?

It's true, the old school guys hit with their head, while using inferior equipment, now with better tech, more guys seem to be suffering concussions, and now we see the long term effects!

Craig. Our Bengals look sooooo bad! With Burfict, at least there was some fear from an opposing offense. They need to move on from Andy Dalton and start over!
