It’s time to set a new tone for San Diego sports. No more getting pushed around.

check the score board---that is how you WIN

How long has it been since the Padres have been relevant and had a team that fought for one another? They need to harken back and take a page from the Dick Williams or Kevin Brown play book and pay some respect to the elders and ancestors of baseball. Moments like these build character, affirm bonds, and let the rest of the NL West, NL and MLB for that matter that the Padres are for real.

Christopher Moreno

Of course you retaliate. These are not the same Padres!

Edward Miller

Stay classy San Diego. The ump should’ve warned the DBacks pitcher and he didn’t. We should move on but don’t take crap from anyone else. I think we’ll see more of this if the Padres remain on top of the division. It’s when you’re in last place that you go looking for fights, etc.

Marc Uranga

No, they didn’t even hit Mejia, they wanted to but the dummy missed twice. Padres gain nothing from getting into a beanball fight, they won 3/4 on the road they should take that and move on.

Absolutely retaliate, the same way the starks should end the life of Cersei Lannister!

Victor Hourani

These are Pro Athletes who make money off their athletic ability. You could potentially really mess up someone’s career by actually hitting them. Stay classy and show them whose boss by winning. Don’t be a dick and hurt someone just to ‘get back’ at them.

Kelli Calimlin

Time to show these Zonies what's what, otherwise they can stop showing up at our beaches

Nicko

Absotootly SD should retaliate. Look, besides this being 20(19)-(Unofficially Official “Year of The Gwynn” for karma implications.. it doesn’t sit well with me that the AZ DoucheBacks not only have owned us over the years, their broadcast biotches want to take shots at us now that we SD are finally back to puttin the hurt on em. “Bush League!!!” Bean Brenly and shut his pie hole up already!!!

Michael Thompson

Yes!! You have too we have one of the “dirtiest” players in the league. If we don’t retaliate we will get zero respect from Arizona or the rest of the league moving forward.

Daniel Rockholt

Clinton St Clair

Don’t just retaliate...Cersei Lannister the fuck outta them and blow up their dugout!! #SummerIsComing

Jeremy Silverstein

Do you always have to plunk a guy or clear the benches to achieve retaliation? Retaliate, absolutely, but maybe our boys can get a little creative with this one. Or just beat the hell out of them on the scoreboard like Heath Bell suggested.

Aaron Florez

Yes because if you're not standing up for yourself you're just a pushover. Merk some wrist up'n in GREEN
