Per Jason Whitlock on Outkick.com, LeBron James is a bigot! Is he right? (Check the link in the citation)

No, Whitlock makes money by ‘hating’ LeBron.

In this day in age where we have seen countless videos where compliance doesn't eliminate the risk of of being shot or killed it is irresponsible of Jason Whitlock to make a statement like that given the platform that he has. Lebron James is right because ut is his feelings. No man has any control over someone else's feelings. If Lebron says he doesn't feel safe, who am I to say he is lying? We have seen Athletes get shot by cops so they aren't immune to the inhumane treatment of black and brown people by police officers.

Darryl Sykes

I agree if everyone would just follow the instructions given by police there wouldn't be as much violence by police. Then if it happens they have it on video, I'm sure, and they would have a much more solid case against the cops.

Pawpaw

I think there’s truth to both. It’s not a black or white issue, no pun intended.

Albert Long

There always has to be a contrarian view. I don’t agree with his takes sometimes, but we have to hear the other side.

ShrimplyPibblez

A little of both, but not inaccurate in people jumping on way to quick

Derrick McQuinn

There is so much need for people to push all the way one direction or another. I feel like there is a middle ground - in this case and in a general sense. I do believe that black do have reason to be more worried about trigger happy police then white people. But I also believe James is caught up in all that is going on and years of held in fears and opinion and is possibly speaking overly extremely right now.

Whitlock has had his card pulled many times by people. He is known for being a hater

Bernard Thompson

Whitlock went after the shock value for views

EyeHoleMan

Whitlock's piece was satirical in nature. He made a point and it is well taken at least by me. LeBron is a phenomenal athlete but as Whitlock showed us, he jumped to conclusions way too fast in Kenosha -- not saying police were right. Just saying, let's get all the facts first.

Bob Rauch

Boss Jose

He’s making a living hating lebron and black athletes. Hates sports and politics, yet all he writes about is politics in sports.

there's a lot of anger going in a lot of different directions the problem is we're not really listening much to each other so we hear little bits of things that upset us and respond to those little bits without listening to the whole so I think one of the best things is for us to just slow down and really listen to each other and maybe not engage as much

Michael Johnson

This is absolutely insane. I was a bad person when I was younger and if I did what these criminals did I would be scared to be shot. Stop! Do what your told! You won’t get shot.🤦🏻‍♂️

Jacinth Duarte

LeBron is being use by the Hollywood crowd he’s one of them now , it’s about fame and money

Juan Ortiz

Yes many agree! He decided this was his chance?

Just another regular day in the life as a minority in America. We wake up, walk outside, go to work, we hope and pray that we won't be the one on the news that evening.

Do we need a more solid case against the police in this situation? This was a clear case of attempted murder. They had several opportunities to diffuse this situation and multiple cops on site. This man should not have been shot.

Ok...if we need to get all of the facts then I ok with that. One of the biggest problems still is where are all of the facts? I have yet to see and body cam footage. That should be made public as soon as it happens. SDPD was able to turn around 4 different body cam angles in less than 48 hours when they felt a shooting was justified. The same needs to apply when there is questionable police behavior.

His comments about fear are his, completelyagree and perhaps Whitlock went too far. I was referring to his rush to judgment about what went down. I just prefer to wait until the facts are in.

How did LeBron jump to conclusions too fast? He saw the same video that everyone saw and made a comment about his fears and safety. Justbas I said on my side of the debate, Whitlock has no place calling LeBron a liar when he is discussing his feelings. LeBron's feelings belong to Lebron and can't be judged by anyone else.

It's all about money. We all have acknowledged that he has made a career off of being the "anti" or the "hater". To each it's own. But I will say that it is a slippery slope to live in. You can claim to be a conservative and have those values but at the end of the day, scared or not Jason Whitlock is still viewed as a black in America man when police are in his presence and we all know how that can end up. I am fearful for him if he isn't for himself.

I am both of mixed race black and white, I can say yes I am scared of police when they pull me over or , also have been stopped for no reason and all walking in the mall just because I fit the description of someone. But I do follow their orders I respect them and don’t show my anger. Always tell them what I am doing as far as getting my I.d or registration.. I can see both sides or everything , Whitlock from what I have seen only follows just one side..

Well, he partnered with Clay Travis. His entire act is being a conservative sports radio host. So he covers sports as if he is Fox News. That’s who Whitlock is, writing from a conservative perspective of sports. He says as an African American man, he has no fear of police, just do as told, and you are fine. So he is pissing off blacks people, and empowering those who agree.

Yeah I can see that, maybe he isn’t getting the ratings he wants so he has to get the people all wound up...

I think it is a calculated move, just as some media jump on and ride the wave, others jump on the opposite bandwagon, to play the other side. Imo it is a choreographed move, like ckickbait.

Yeah I don’t know why this guy has such a hate for LeBron. True look at all he has done in his career, and I’m talking about outside the court. Which Athlete has ever built a school that has been successful so far.. I mean Deion Sanders did it but his school got shut down. For Whitlock I don’t know all of his antics with LeBron but for some reason the guy doesn’t like him.. Maybe Bron has beaten his team one too many time.. 🤷🏾‍♂️

Well, for one we are alive and healthy.

In the case of this question, seems like Whitlock is making his career being anti Lebron.

I find that fascinating, all the good LBJ does, and we have a guy who constantly criticizes every move he makes.

Why the hate for LBJ? Talk to me DS!

Celebrate what Scott? You tell me what we should be celebrating about?

The Kenosha shooting, and medias bandwagon. lol was out walking and my orginal comment I was writing got deleted by mistake so just did something short

I mean obviously. Especially when he corrects his grammar.
But I stand by my response 😀
