His hitting and his defense in this first series proved he was ready to bring up now. Padres will get a deal done to make sure he’s a long term Padre.

With the rest of the league think he is dirty because he stepped on an ankle, and with a lot of hypersensitive fans here in San Diego thinking he too mean. I am excited to see what Manny can Do. See his influence on the younger guys, and too watch him earn his 300million. He is already Provo g him self with his hustle down the first base line yesterday for the game winner.

It's easy to get excited about Tatis, Machado, et al on offense...and Padres fans should be. But you still win titles with pitching and Paddack is going to be a stud. He's got development to get through yet but he's got all the ability and the Padres haven't had a pitching prospect this exciting since maybe Jake Peavy.

Besides being excited about Machado, Tatis Jr., and Paddack, Wil Myers shouldn't be overlooked. I don't believe it's a coincidence that he is off to a great start (yes, small sample size). He had protection around him in the lineup. He knew he'd be playing in the outfield prior to the season beginning. He's lost some weight and not as bulky as he was entering the season last year. And most importantly, he doesn't have to be THE guy. His best season came in 2016 when he had a solid first half and was an All-Star selection, when there were other "guys" on the team, and he wasn't expected to carry the team. He's in a similar position now, and should continue to benefit and help the Padres win ballgames. Of course, he's just gotta stay healthy!

Hey Padres fans, no one is excited about the $144 million dollar smile, Hosmer?

Remember last year, he was signed for leadership, wl there was nothing to lead.

This year Hosmer is the glue in the clubhouse, sticking the young kids with the high priced vets, and the unlnown Manager.

Since none of the #padrestwitter or #friarfaithful took Hosmer, I am no the bandwagon.

Hosmer will have the monster season!!!

What's not to like about Tatis Jr.? He's a 20-year old shortstop that can hit for power. He's an above-average defender with great athleticism and a tremendous arm. He might not step in and be the best player on the Padres right away, but he's the most enticing prospect this squad has seen in years.

Tatis has proven in this first series that he was ready to come up. Offense and defense, Tatis is real deal and will help Padres win now.

Love the youngest pitching staff in the majors and love Chris Paddock

Tatis is must watch every time he's up to bat!

Christopher Moreno

This kid is what Pads fans have been waiting for!
