Kobe Bryant was tragically killed in a helicopter crash with his daughter Gigi and 6 other people one year ago.

It’s hard to believe what has happened since that day, one year ago...

Kobe’s death was tragic for sure.  It is certainly a worthwhile endeavor to acknowledge the first year anniversary. Still, it was not an earth shattering event for me.

We were driving to my daughters Valentine’s Day picture shoot . My dad called and told me , Instantly I cried and continued to cry for days . Kobe was my childhood Hero , My favorite Sports player my entire life I’m 26 . I’ll always remember watching the games with my dad and grandparents. plus going to staples center and seeing him for the first time . My first jersey was a Kobe Bryant jersey. The only death that impacted me more was my grandfathers . It Really showed me anybody can be gone any any time, any day , at any age. we should all appreciate and enjoy life. Kobe Bryant to me was a idol. Growing up and turning on the Tv just to see him play really gave me as a young boy the confidence to know that if he can be that great maybe so can I. As we mourn the loss and Anniversary of one year Kobe Bryant is no longer in this world. The NBA community as well as society as we know it with never forget a Legend like Kobe.

I was at work that day and wasn't complete shock and it's so sad that was just the beginning of the most fucked up year we've ever had RIP kobe , Gigi and the rest of the people on the helicopter

I remember exactly where I was, who I was with, and the utter disbelief in my mind. 

We were in Miami for the Super Bowl week.

The hardest part, was being away from my three daughters, who really felt like they needed their dad. 

The world is a completely different place one year later, maybe Kobe’s death did tilt the earth’s axis?

I had tickets to the Lakers-Clippers game that Tuesday night and was in LA on Sunday, standing with all of LA at Staples and in shock when news of the crash came in. Life is short, enjoy the ride

I was floored when I heard the news, on an early Sunday afternoon on the east coast. Kobe is an alum of my high school outside of Philly and I followed his career closely, amazed at his game night after night. I enjoyed watching Kobe play more than any other player, ever. As a parent, I felt sorry for the kids. They never experienced love, being a parent or anything of that nature. It hurts when you lose legends but it’s another type of loss to lose a child. I pray for all the parents that loss children prematurely

I think many people who are 50 years old would agree, they would consider it a tragic event, but not life changing per se. I, on the other hand, feel Kobe’s grind is good to recall, because many of us have that type of drive, and we need it right now!
