Is Trevor Bauer really accusing Fernando Tatis Jr of cheating, by peaking at signs?

Gimme a break, every player tries to get the sign!

Yes he is cheating, and yes Bauer is right!

A great man once said “if you’re not cheating, you’re not trying”...

I’m sure a lot of players are trying to pick up on any kind of tell to use for their advantage.

Anthony Avila

Non-issue, but can’t blame Bauer for pointing it out.
Everybody is trying to gain a competitive advantage

The Red Pimp

That’s why what the Astros did was no big deal.

Stuart Left

Trevor Bauer got embarrassed by Tatis, Jr. Screw him, Bauer is an asshole

Bob Rauch

Trevor Bauer even thought it was a dick move, but he shrugged it off. If he and/or his battery mate caught Tatis Jr, peeking, they could have reset and changed the signs for the next pitch.

Keith Klipfel

Listen to Bauer's interview. He applauds Tatis' and anyone who celebrates, as does he. If he had a grudge or any negativity about Tatis it didn't show. They all peak, every person who's ever played looks for flashes of 1 2 or ??

Avery Martinez

Are you kidding me? If Bauer missed his spot it wouldn't have mattered. If Tatis guessed the pitch wrong it wouldn't have mattered. Players have about a 1 second time period to swing. This is ridiculous and only a thing because he homered and people don't believe the Padres could beat the Dodgers

If you ain’t cheating you ain’t trying!!

Whining little bitches....LA fans are sooo obnoxious
#beatLA

Victor

🤣 yeah right give me a freaking break He's just a sore ass loser

Philip J Muniz

Absolutely no way he can look back in that time to figure out what fingers are being put down! The catcher even set up late so he didn't see location either. Give me a break!

Art Messimer

If the catcher thinks he was then he was.

Bradley Rippy

Ridiculous! Making excuses for the losses.

Albert Long

Max McElroy

Tatis was looking at the plate because he was about to feast on Bauer

Harold

Obviously not stealing the signs, watch the video

Is that the best they have for getting SPANKED !! Come on man !! How abour Blue cheating. Did you see how many outside the strike zone were call strikes !!

Even if he peeked, is that cheating? Where do you draw the line? Every catcher frames the ball just in case the umpire needs to take a second look in order to make his call. Ball is caught outside of the strike zone and quickly moved (while in glove) back into the strike zone, ump looks, calls strike. That is a form of cheating that nobody cares about. So if you don't want your signals "peeked" at, then come up with a way of being more discreet. It's like if you don't want to be seen naked, then don't get dressed in front of the window. The game is evolving! Go Pads!

Mike

Bauer has to be worried about the 2nd best team in the division who moved into a tie for first place last year. Also don’t watch out for the aD Backs worn no hitter Baumgarden

Point is, Plaschke making accusations in the LA Times perpetuated the accusation.

Didn’t read the article . How many times in NFL has the defense tried to steal signals . If the other team allows it , it will always happen

Not sure if you read Bill Plaschke in the LA Times, but he accused Tatis of sign stealing and the Dodgers for allowing it...again!

Hard to say. Folklore suggests it was translated from German in 1904...

VIVA LA RAZA! Eddie Guerrero the only right answer

Levi

Right! Gimme a break. A cheating accusation!

If peaking constitutes cheating, we are all in trouble with our ladies!

Well it can’t be that the Pads are better!

And because Bill Plaschke of the LA Times published the accusation, check out his column from Monday!

But was Tatis sneaking a peak? How do we know? Because on video we see his eyes look down?

It’s all on Bill Plaschke for publishing the accusation in the LA Times!

True, but Dodger fans will love him, the way Padres fans love Manny!

Don't take my word, Dodger nation and many other publications think he is baseball's biggest asshole
