Do you believe the US Women’s National Soccer team should be paid equal to or more than the men’s team?

Yes, they are way better in their respective game than the men!

No, the men generate more money so they deserve to be paid more.

Compensation, especially in sports, should be based on a number of factors including success - both individual and team. Success in the sport translates to revenue: ticket sales, advertisements, products, endorsements, etc. Where has all the revenue gone for WNT games? Not just fifa World Cup but the entire season? If US soccer gets this right and develops a compensation program that recognizes the impact of women’s soccer and especially the contributions of individual women players, they will set the benchmark for equalizing the pay scale for women in sports.

It’s simple economics, if your product generates more cash you get a big cut! Is it fair because of the success of the women’s team? No but it’s just business. Now if the women generate more money and got paid less then there would be a problem. Btw my daughter was a college soccer player!

David Hunt

USA women’s soccer creates more money than the men’s team. They sell more jerseys, they not only make the World Cup, they repeatedly win, for our country; Women should be paid more

Kelli Calimlin

They actually should be paid more... THEY WIN!!

Dede maycen

It’s not their fault, but the competition on the women’s side is very obviously watered down. No other country has Title IX, so the USWNT have an advantage already.....and bc of this they’re the odds-on favorite to win every 4 yrs. Why do they need to be rewarded even more?

Bo Blumenthal

Absolutely they need to be paid exactly like the men for many years the men have not even earned their money and these girls have won 4 World Cups time to pay them for what they've done win...

Robert lucero

They have earned every penny, nickel, dime, quarter, and dollar for my support. Absolutely!

Lorenzo Z. Villalobos Jr.

The Women’s team has had more success, and generate a larger following. They have been the better team, regardless of sex. They deserve the financial reward for this

Kelli

They are the better team now and they are in command of the world stage.

Timothy Dalton

If it’s a team USA event, every US athlete should get paid the same. If we’re talking about their club teams, it’s a business, and they should have managers who get them the most they can. But we all know that small markets and sports that don’t sell out stadiums don’t garner the highest salaries, it’s not like they can just make the money appear.

Shawn Price

I Believe that they are great players and they have to be treated the same way they are champions they deserve and earned the right to get paid

It sure is easy to see, but before I see it, I want to fully understand what the women's team generates, vs what the men generate!

It doesn't matter how good they are, if it doesn't generate the same revenue they shouldn't get paid as much. As an entrepreneur I would think this would be easy to see/understand/relate to @scottkaplan

As the father of a female ECNL player, looking to play in college, I see first hand, how good these young women are, how hard they work, etc. the USMNT is an international leader, the men are not even in the game! The women's success should have them making more! IMO.

Time for the Men to step up. No excuses.
