Will Kaplan Simulcast on The Mightier 1090 and ESPN 710?

Daniel

He's not abandoning San Diego. He doesn't need to unless he gets a killer offer to move somewhere--in which case good for him.

How is doing a job in the LA market abandoning SD? Curious...

When Dean Spanos left, he took his billions to OC and LA.

How are we the same?

I think Kaplan’s got something up his sleeve. Hope he brings AP and Browner with him!

Jimmy Goss

I doubt ESPN is going to allow him on a non ESPN station unless the poney up the money. I do think Scott probably still does the Podcast, but probably more of the 1 HR variety. And I don't see this as him abandoning San Diego, he made the best decision for himself and his family.

Derrick McQuinn

Congrats Scott. Do what's best for you. Sided is about to go nuclear. Can I invest?

Michael Johnson

Scott has a great opportunity. Excited for him. He’s still local. Just turn the dial

Albert Long

This has nothing to do with San Diego! This is about Scott doing well! Congratulations to him! Don’t forget his mentor told him he needed to go to LA, it was inevitable .

Avery Martinez

At least it is not Nick Hardwick Level of sell out...he still based here...

Yesid

Not even close to what Spanos did - I am guessing he will follow the format of the rest of 1090

Hah, nailed it! Congrats to you and the crew my man, we'll deserved!

Scottie! Nothing like a little dramatic title to get a response, right?!

I think it's a natural comparison to say someone left a “small market” SD for the larger market in LA. Granted, saying you'd completely abandon SD is dramatic!

With that said, I think it's interesting you sided “no” on this one. I think you've got something up your sleeve! Maybe getting to just put the podcast directly on 1090 and then a live show on 710?

But anyways, time to listen to the podcast and find out. I'm excited to hear you continue the Spanos hate from wherever!
