How annoying are selfies, urgh! How annoying are women, gah! How gross is it when those two things are combined, za-beluugghhhh-yeuccccch! This is the scourge of our time, an infection that cannot be cured by antibiotics, a disease that we do not have a genetic resistance to.

My teen kids post a lot of selfies. But as a single dad new to dating, I see a lot of women 40+ posting more partying selfies than teenagers. Weird!

I think it is weird. Maybe I am weird though for not being social in the social media universe. I marvel at the lives of the popular people. I’m happy to sip wine, stay home, listen to Noel Gallagher. One more point, I believe women have it so much tougher as they get older. I’m getting fat, gray and unattractive, but I feel no pressure. I bet it is much different for the opposite sex.

On the other hand, these women may have a new lease on life, with the freedom of divorce in middle age.Frankly, dating in middle age is very similar to dating in high school. So let these ladies show off their lives and advertise their availability.The other thing is, more and more people are meeting through dating apps, so it stands to reason they use Instagram or Facebook to show off their lives!

I'm cool with middle age women posting about their hobbies, kids, jobs, whatever. But you're right, they post a shit ton of selfies showing how much they party. Seems too much. I get it, they're probably single and trying hard to land a guy among all the competition. Not looking for a party girl again. Fun, yes. Constant partying, not so much.

Not weird and its probably because the majority of kids/teens have already moved on to some other form of social media. Always seems to happen after a certain amount of time.

I'll agree with you on the having it rougher part. I'm sure it is. But these things I see reek of desperation, competition, ego, and  attention seeking. I hope to date women with more depth than all that.
