Would you take a Padres World Series win now knowing they used sign stealing vs. No World Series titles for the next 20 years?

No World Series title for the next 20 years

You always want the competition and winning outcomes in sport to be pure and untainted. I don't want to sound naive, but, of course, I would rather them win without cheating. But all professional sports nowadays are driven by money, technology, and performance enhancing strategies. They all are seeking that edge, even if it means they stretch the rules a bit. I am not condoning cheating to win, but where do you draw the line in the MLB post steroid era where analytics, new technologies, and training regimes rule the day? I guess setting up a video system and banging drums is not permissible? Does it have to be blatant for it to matter? Just because a team got caught doesn't mean others who walk that fine line aren't guilty of the same. If you want to see a pure baseball game these days you got to go watch some T ball!

Knowing San Diego sports, any San Diego team might cheat and still choke. The 98 pads were the best team I’ve seen. Choked in 4 games to the damn Yankees. Let’s cheat! Let’s win!!

Tough call, but rather have the win the World Series fairly, rather than by cheating for it.

It would be good and I’d celebrate it to the fullest Don’t get me wrong but SD’s first championship shouldn’t be “tainted”- we’ve waited this long we can wait- keep the faith!!!

Joe Rigby

110% i would openly make this deal with the devil and I think anyone who votes otherwise isnt a true Padres fan who has spent their life embroiled in mediocrity

Christian Pedersen

Every true San Diegun should be voting yes on this

Can’t have that cheating stigma haunt your club. Gotta win it honestly or fear the tag of shame. Win it right or don’t bother. Astros should vacate their WS win.

As much as I want the World Series. This type of stuff haunts teams/players for years. Though with how the MLB dealt with this so far, I'd say maybe cheating, because there was no real punishment to deter team from not doing it.
